Religion was a personal and direct thing in Ancient Greece. Religion was present in everyday life. Temples city festivals and sporting and artistic competitions were all for the gods. They influenced all of daily life. Ancient Greeks sacrificed pigs,sheep,goats, or cows with the same sex as the god. The priests in Ancient Greece orchestrated religious ceremonies for the Greeks. In some of these groups they believed that certain activities would please the gods, then the gods would give them better life's. In Greece they believed a lot in seeing the future. Some of the famous oracles from myths are, Apollo, Delphi, and Zeus. These myths helped the Greeks come up with there ideas of telling the future. Games,competitions,and festivals were all held in honor of the gods. Religion could be practiced anywhere. Greeks would hold ceremony's in their homes on special days of the week of year if they did not feel like going into public. The Greeks tried to find signs for the Gods talking to them.
